About Rene
Rene Bastarache is the founder and president of the American School of Hypnosis, an internationally respected organization offering comprehensive hypnosis training and certification programs.
He also serves as President of AIA Hypnosis Experts, the world’s #1 ranked association for hypnotherapy and self-help professionals.
A self-employed entrepreneur for over 35 years, Rene began his hypnosis career in 1997. Within months he built a full-time practice with three offices — at a time when few even knew hypnosis could be a career.
From that beginning, he has become one of the most prolific hypnosis authors in America, having written and published more than 200 books, manuals, and courses on hypnosis, marketing, self-help, and mental conditioning.
Known for his clear teaching style, humor, and real-world wisdom, Rene helps both new and experienced hypnotists master practical methods that deliver results.

Raluca E. Bastarache, CI – Certified Instructor & Director of the American School of Hypnosis

Raluca Bastarache, born and raised in Iași, Romania, now resides in Biddeford, Maine, in the northeastern USA.
She is a Certified Instructor, Research Director, and Co-Author of numerous hypnosis and self-help books published by the American School of Hypnosis and AIA Hypnosis Experts.
As Director of the American School of Hypnosis, Raluca oversees all hypnosis training and certification programs, guiding students through both basic and clinical hypnotherapy.
She also serves on the Board of Advisors for the AIA, helping shape educational quality and professional ethics for American hypnosis instructors and authors.
Before her work in hypnosis, Raluca enjoyed a distinguished career in the performing arts.
A graduate of the Octav Băncilă School of Music and Arts in Iași, she was a professional opera singer performing in major opera houses throughout Eastern Europe.
Her artistic discipline and sensitivity to emotion now infuse her work as a Success and Relationship Coach, helping others create balance, happiness, and authentic self-expression.
Beyond her hypnosis career, Raluca is a passionate perfume connoisseur, blending creativity, intuition, and sensory awareness — the same qualities that make her an extraordinary teacher and motivator.
