Let’s face it—digital overwhelm is a huge issue today for virtually everyone with a smartphone or online access.
Think about it: when you attend a concert or live event, how many people are actually enjoying the moment? Most are recording, streaming, or sharing it on their phones instead of experiencing it firsthand.
I’ve personally felt the effects of this in my own life:
- How many times have I sat down to watch “just one” YouTube short, only to realize an hour has gone by? Too many to count.
- I remember the days when I had to wait a full week to watch the next episode of a TV series. Now, with streaming platforms like Netflix, I’ve spent entire weekends binge-watching shows with 10 to 15 episodes in one go.
- Years ago, when Super Mario Bros. first came out, I remember staying up until 5 a.m., determined to beat the final level.
These experiences, while entertaining, took a toll. They disrupted my sleep, shortened my attention span, and even led to feelings of anxiety and isolation. Sitting for hours on end without moving wasn’t doing my health any favors either.
While online platforms and technology bring great benefits, they can also create significant challenges. That’s why I felt compelled to create this course.
